 BAPTISM

All parents planning a baptism for their child in the Parish are invited to contact Fr John initially. They will be expected to attend a baptism course which is run monthly. The course will help parents to appreciate the wonderful grace that is imparted through Baptism and will give them a better understanding of the signs and symbols that are used in the Rite. There will also be an opportunity for questions. After attending the course parents should contact Fr John to arrange a suitable date and time for the Baptism.  

 

FIRST HOLY COMMUNION AND RECONCILIATION

Preparation for the Sacraments of First Reconciliation and First Holy Communion are offered annually in the Parish. A course starts in January (usually on Saturday mornings)  and runs through until the children receive their First Holy Communion in May. The details of the course and how to register your child will be publicised in the Parish newsletter in the Autumn Term. There will also be sessions for parents.  

 

CONFIRMATION

For details about the Confirmation preparation that is offered once a year starting in January please contact Fr John.

RCIA

The Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults is for those who want to become full members of the Catholic Church. A period of Enquiry is offered in the Autumn for anyone wanting to find out more about becoming a Catholic. For those who  want to take it further this can lead to  Baptism, Confirmation and full Reception into the Catholic Church usually at the Easter Vigil service.
